BIOVANCE GROUP LTD — TERMS & CONDITIONS OF SERVICE
Effective Date: 15 September 2026
Version: 2.0
- About Us and How to Contact Us
1.1 Company Details. These Terms and Conditions of Service (“Terms”) govern the provision of preventative health diagnostics, biomarker blood panels, biological age profiling, genetic testing, and associated consultations (the “Services”) by Biovance Group Ltd (“Biovance”, “we”, “us”, or “our”). We are a private limited company registered in England and Wales.
- Registered Office Address: 22 Acorn Lane, EN6 4JQ
- Company Registration Number:17135820
- Official Contact Email: hello@biovance.co.uk
1.2 Operating Structure. Biovance operates as a digital and mobile clinical health practice. We do not operate a walk-in clinic or direct public telephone switchboard. All administrative inquiries, booking changes, cancellations, and clinical coordination are handled securely via hello@biovance.co.uk.
1.3 Scope of Practice. Biovance provides preventative, educational, and lifestyle-oriented health diagnostics. We are not an emergency service, hospital, or general medical practice. If you are experiencing acute symptoms, a medical emergency, or suspect you have an urgent medical condition, you must contact 999, attend an A&E department, or consult your GP immediately.
- Nature and Limitations of Our Services
2.1 Non-Diagnostic and Informational Purpose. Unless explicitly stated in writing for a specific regulated clinical panel, our Services, test reports, and consultations are provided solely for preventative health tracking, lifestyle optimisation, and educational purposes. They do not constitute formal medical diagnoses, clinical treatments, or prescriptive medical plans, and they are not a replacement for primary care provided by your GP or specialist medical team.
2.2 Scientific Nature of Results. You acknowledge and accept that:
- Probabilistic Data: Blood biomarkers, biological age metrics, and genetic test results reflect statistical, associative, and probabilistic data based on current clinical literature; they do not represent absolute certainties.
- Epigenetic & Genetic Nuance: Biological age algorithms and genetic trait variants reflect population-level associations. They do not confirm the presence, absence, or inevitable onset of any specific illness or clinical diagnosis.
- Consultant Role: Our practitioners review and contextualise your data within a lifestyle and health optimisation framework. Engaging with our consultants does not establish a traditional doctor-patient relationship with Biovance Group Ltd.
- Independent Medical Verification: Any lifestyle, dietary, or supplementation adjustments you choose to implement following a consultation are made at your own discretion. You are advised to review all significant clinical biomarker findings with your GP.
- Eligibility and Sample Provenance
3.1 Consumer Eligibility. By booking or purchasing any Service, you warrant that:
- You are at least 18 years of age (Biovance does not provide services to minors, even with parental consent);
- You reside in the United Kingdom and are purchasing the Services as an individual consumer for personal use;
- You possess the legal capacity to enter into a binding contract governed by English law; and
- You are not experiencing acute or severe symptoms that require immediate medical attention.
3.2 Sample Provenance & Human Tissue Act 2004. In compliance with Section 45 of the Human Tissue Act 2004 (HTA), it is a criminal offence to hold bodily material with the intention of analysing human DNA without qualifying consent. You warrant and confirm that any biological sample (blood, saliva, or cheek swab) provided for analysis is your own personal bodily material. You must not submit samples belonging to another individual under any circumstances.
- Sample Collection, Appointments, and Laboratory Analysis
4.1 Mobile Phlebotomy Visits. Where your package includes mobile phlebotomy, a certified phlebotomist will attend your designated home or business location. You must ensure a clean, safe, and private environment with adequate lighting for the procedure. If the phlebotomist considers the environment unsafe or unsanitary, they reserve the right to cancel the visit, and a rescheduling fee may apply.
4.2 Home Self-Collection Kits. Where your package includes a capillary blood, buccal, or saliva collection kit:
- You must follow the step-by-step instructions provided inside the kit.
- You are responsible for posting the sample back within the timeframe specified using the pre-paid tracked packaging provided.
- If a sample fails at the laboratory due to clotting, haemolysis, insufficient volume, or postal delays resulting from improper self-collection, replacement collection kits may be subject to an administrative and kit replacement fee (see Section 7).
4.3 Laboratory Operations & Accreditation. Physical sample testing is carried out by independent, third-party diagnostic laboratories accredited to UKAS ISO 15189 standards and registered with the Care Quality Commission (CQC). Biovance Group Ltd does not analyse biological samples in-house. Samples are handled and securely incinerated by partner laboratories within 30 to 60 days following test completion in accordance with HTA guidelines and biological safety protocols.
- Genetic Testing Specific Terms
5.1 Separate Consent. In addition to these Terms, genetic sequencing requires explicit informed consent gathered prior to laboratory processing, addressing familial implications, potential incidental findings, and your right to decline certain trait outputs.
5.2 Familial Implications. Genetic variants are shared with biological relatives. You acknowledge that identifying genetic predispositions may have emotional or familial significance. Biovance Group Ltd bears no responsibility for disclosing or communicating your results to your family members or third parties.
5.3 Insurance and Financial Disclosures. Under the UK Code on Genetic Testing and Insurance, life and health insurers operating within the UK generally do not ask for, or take into account, the results of predictive genetic tests (subject to agreed government thresholds). However, you are solely responsible for verifying your disclosure obligations under any individual insurance policy or employment agreement. - Consultations and Digital Deliverables
6.1 Booking & Rescheduling. Consultations are conducted remotely via secure video/telehealth platforms. If you need to reschedule, you must notify us at hello@biovance.co.uk at least 48 hours prior to your appointment time. Cancellations made with less than 48 hours’ notice may forfeit the consultation fee or be subject to a £35 rebooking charge.
6.2 Digital Content & Longevity Guides. Digital reports, testing summaries, and longevity guides are educational resources licensed solely for your non-commercial, personal use. All intellectual property rights remain with Biovance Group Ltd. - Fees, Statutory Cancellation, and Refunds
7.1 Pricing and Payment. All prices are quoted in GBP (£) inclusive of applicable UK VAT. Payment must be completed in full via our secure checkout gateway before appointments are scheduled or test kits are dispatched.
7.2 Statutory 14-Day Cooling-Off Period (Services). Under the Consumer Contracts (Information, Cancellation and Additional Charges) Regulations 2013 (CCRs), you have the legal right to cancel your purchase within 14 calendar days from the date your order is confirmed, without providing a reason.
7.3 Early Service Delivery Waiver. By booking an appointment or requesting immediate kit dispatch within the 14-day cancellation period, you make an express request for the service to begin immediately. If you cancel within the 14 days, you are entitled to a refund minus the reasonable value of services already performed:
- Kit Dispatched: If your testing kit has already been dispatched, a deduction of £30 will be made to cover physical testing supplies, packaging, and administration.
- Mobile Phlebotomy Attended: If a phlebotomist has attended your appointment, the phlebotomy service charge (typically £65–£95) cannot be refunded.
- Sample Processed: Once your sample has been received and processed by our partner laboratory, your right to cancel is lost, as the diagnostic service has been fully performed (CCRs 2013, Regulation 36).
7.4 Digital Content Cancellation Waiver. In accordance with Regulation 37(1) of the CCRs 2013, if you purchase standalone downloadable digital guides, you expressly acknowledge that by accessing or downloading the digital file, you consent to immediate supply and waive your 14-day statutory right to cancel.
7.5 How to Cancel. To exercise your right to cancel, you must notify us via a clear statement sent to hello@biovance.co.uk prior to the expiration of the 14-day period. Refunds are issued using the original payment method within 14 calendar days of approval.
- Consumer Rights and Liability
8.1 Reasonable Care and Skill. Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits our statutory liability under the Consumer Rights Act 2015 (CRA 2015) to provide Services with reasonable care and skill, nor does it exclude any liability that cannot be excluded under English law, including:
- Death or personal injury caused by our negligence;
- Fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation; or
- Breach of your statutory consumer rights under the Consumer Rights Act 2015.
8.2 Limitation of Unforeseeable Losses. Subject to Section 8.1, Biovance Group Ltd will not be liable for: - Losses that were not foreseeable to both parties when the contract was formed;
- Any loss or damage resulting from false, incomplete, or inaccurate health history provided by you;
- Failure to follow sample collection, preparation, or postage instructions provided with testing kits;
- Business or commercial losses (as Services are sold exclusively for domestic consumer use);
- Indirect familial, employment, or insurance repercussions arising from your decision to undergo testing or disclose findings to third parties.
8.3 Supplement & Lifestyle Guidance. Any lifestyle, dietary, or nutritional supplement suggestions provided during consultations are non-prescriptive and informational. You are solely responsible for reviewing ingredient labels for known allergens and consulting your GP or primary care physician regarding interactions with existing prescription medications before introducing new supplements.
- Data Protection and Confidentiality
Your privacy and the security of your clinical records are governed by our Privacy Policy, which is incorporated into these Terms by reference. Because health and genetic metrics constitute special category data under UK GDPR Article 9, we process this data only where lawful (under explicit consent for testing and legal claims defence for clinical governance retention). We enforce AES-256 encryption at rest and TLS 1.3 encryption in transit for all client data. - Suspension and Refusal of Service
We reserve the right to decline or suspend the provision of Services where:
- A client exhibits aggressive, threatening, or abusive behaviour toward our staff, phlebotomists, or contractors;
- We reasonably determine that a client requires urgent primary or secondary clinical intervention that falls outside the wellness and preventative scope of our practice; or
- There is a clear breach of these Terms (e.g., fraudulent submission of another individual’s biological sample).
Where a service is cancelled by us under safe clinical discretion, a fair pro-rata refund will be issued for unperformed components.
- Complaints and Clinical Concerns
If you have a question, concern, or complaint regarding the quality of our Services:
- Direct Notification: Contact us at hello@biovance.co.uk detailing your concern and booking reference.
- Acknowledgment: We will acknowledge receipt of your complaint within 5 working days.
- Investigation & Resolution: We will investigate the matter with our operations team and partner laboratories, aiming to provide a comprehensive response within 28 calendar days.
- Amendments to Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time to comply with changes in UK consumer law, clinical governance standards, or operating practices. The revised Terms will be posted on our website with an updated Effective Date. Any changes will not apply retroactively to Services that you have already booked or purchased prior to the update. - General Provisions
13.1 Entire Agreement. These Terms, together with our Privacy Policy, your booking confirmation, and (where applicable) the Genetic Testing Consent Terms, constitute the entire agreement between you and Biovance Group Ltd.
13.2 Severability. If any provision of these Terms is found to be unlawful, void, or unenforceable by an English court or competent regulatory authority, that specific provision shall be severed without affecting the validity and enforceability of the remaining provisions.
13.3 Governing Law & Jurisdiction. These Terms, and any dispute or claim arising out of or in connection with them (including non-contractual disputes or claims), are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of England and Wales. You and Biovance Group Ltd agree to submit to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales. - Contact Information
